Weather, Weather
The great white north, my new home. Good old Canada. One day its hailing, the other its snowing and then when you least expect it the sun shows its wonderful rays and you bask under the sun like you have never done it before in your entire life. The wintry weather brings my gastronomical/mad adventures to a halt. Winter makes me want to lock myself up at home, toke and watch indie flicks. But thank goodness Spring has arrived! Spring gives me a bounce when I walk, makes me smell the air full of pollen and stare at the little squirrels jumping off the pine trees outside my window. Its time for me to visit the great outdoors, although I prefer to go camping and canoeing when it is officially summer.
This Easter weekend brings me to my moms cottage in Wasaga Beach. Nice small town where most college/university kiddies spend their spring break. May two four weekend, which is an actual long weekend (yipee! no work) is Ontarios version of Floridas spring break. I personally couldnt care less for puking at the side walk and picking up half naked men (boys, really). Last year, on said weekend, the car I was riding in on our way to some gorge in a small town called Welland got totalled. It was one of those "everything was meant to go wrong" sort of holiday. I still have back pains from that weekend, for the first time in my life I got to ride an ambulance although I was strapped on to a really uncomfortable board and I didnt know what the hell was going on. I am hoping this year will be different.
Cheers to good health and to great weather!!
